FIPS Award 2013 bagged by RPSC!

A moment of pride for RPSC as it has been endowed with FIPS Award 2013 for its contribution in the field of Alternative Payment Project for Candidates. FIPS 2013, a Global Conference on Financial Inclusion & Payment Systems was held at New Delhi on 24-25 Oct.

The award was presented by Hon’ble Minister of State for Finance, Government of India Sh. Jesudasu Seelam and Former Secretary to Telecom Sh. R. Chandrashekhar and Chief Executive Officer Citycell Bangladesh Sh. Mehboob Chowdhary.

RPSC online portal is the only Online Application Portal which provides multiple payment options (E-mitra Kiosks/E-Mitra Online Payment/SBI Online Gateway with All Credit Card/All Debit Card/All Net banking) under one banner. Single window system concept to user with e-mail & SMS integration system for application and Mobile based submission based on old application registered. Know about RTI- Right To Information

Right to Information Act empowers every citizen to seek any information, take notes, extracts or certified copies of documents or records, take certified samples of material.

Under RTI every citizen has freedom of speech and expression and have the right to know how the government works, what role does it play, what are its functions and so on.

RTI Portal has been developed by DOIT&C with an objective to provide single point access to all information and services mandatory under the RTI Act, 2005 in respect of all public authorities / Government Offices / Organisations of Government of Rajasthan.

Therefore, an attempt has been made through this Portal to provide comprehensive, accurate, and authentic information on implementation of Right to Information Act, 2005 in the system of governance in Rajasthan.

Department Initiative by DOIT&C

Transport department is an important public dealing department. People visit various offices of the department daily for different services like obtaining driving licence, vehicle registration, permit/fitness certificates, deposition of motor vehicle tax etc.In order to bring transparency and fast disposal of public dealing work and to prevent revenue leakage computerization of all the Transport offices in the State was undertaken by the Department under the National e-governance project of Transport Department by MoRTH (GoI) Implemented through NIC.

Rajasthan State Blood Transfusion Council (RSBTC) is making blood banks online

Now patients can get their blood faster than earlier as the Rajasthan State Blood Transfusion Council (RSBTC) is making blood banks online in all the medical colleges across the state.

For this purpose, software named Hospital Management Information System (HMIS) is being used that is developed with the help of the Department of Information and Technology Rajasthan.

With the system being online in all the blood banks, patients now can get their blood faster than earlier because with a click of the mouse, all the details of the blood required will be made available.

RSBTC Blood Safety joint director Dr Ashok Jain states that, “Online blood monitoring will ease patient’s requirement of blood for which they have to wait for hours with zero per cent human error in blood transfusion.”

In one day, approximately 1,600 units of blood are used in the hospitals for patients in the treatment during emergency and accidents. With this system being online, all the necessary details required will be available and patients will be helped as soon as possible, he added.

According to him, “Another benefit is that it will also help to curb those professional donors who charge money for blood donation as all the records of the people will be maintained” Secondly, with the use of online monitoring, all the data of blood banks will be computerised and this will help to relocate the donors whenever there is an emergency of requirement of blood.

There are a total of 45 blood banks in the state in which 28 blood banks are funded with the state fund; eight under the Rajasthan Health Development System Project, six under National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) and three under the CM scheme.

AADHAAR WEEK Celebration to Create Awareness

With an aim to encourage people to get enrolled for Aadhar card, the district administration is organizing Aadhar run starting from Monday 19th August till 23rd August, 2013.

According to Additional district collector Arun Garg , “The state government is organizing Aadhar week from Monday and various events will be organized during the week to create awareness among the people about the importance of Aadhar card.”

So far, the district administration has enrolled around 60% of the total population of Jaipur district but 40% of the people still have not been covered under Aadhar card. The demand for Aadhar card has reduced, so the week-long programmes would encourage the 40% who have not applied for their Aadhar card yet.

In Jaipur, Olympian Gopal Saini will flag off the run from Statue Circle till Vidhan Sabha. The participant who will win the race will get Rs 11,000, while the runner-up and second runner-up will receive Rs 7,000 and Rs 2,500, respectively.

Honorable CM Shri Ashok Gehlot Inaugurates Citizen Contact Call Center

Call center has proved to be an important medium to serve the citizens in various ways. Keeping this mind, the state Government of Rajasthan has launched an integrated call center through a person can get all information about the departments through the medium of single phone call. The decision was made during the budget speech of year 2012-13.

Honorable CM Shri Ashok Gehlot graced the occasion and inaugurated the call center on 3rd August 2013. On the occasion, Shri Gehlot said, the government has been working with the aim of providing of transparency and responsible governance to the citizens. He also emphasized on the training of the employees as only then they will be able to answer the queries of the citizens with immense patience.


Shri Sanjay Malhotra, Secretary, DOIT, welcomed the guests and explained the details about the call center. In the initial phase, Child and Women Welfare Dept,  Transport Dept, Electricity Dept, Labor Dept, medical and healthcare Dept, Agriculture Dept, Social welfare Dept, JDA, Industrial Dept, Revenue Dept, Dept of Public Health services, RPSC, DOIT, Civil Dept., Food Dept, Employment Dept, Minority Affairs Dept, Commercial Taxes Dept, etc. will be covered.

In the first phase, the citizens of the state can avail citizen centric information of the 19 departments through a unique call center no -1800 180 6127. The earlier call centers of the various will be merged with this call center. Initially 20 lines will be available which will be updated to 100 lines later. Apart from call services, information will also be dispensed through sms and email. The timing of the call center will be 8.00 am to 8.00 pm

Ministry of External Affairs launches smartphone app for iOS and Android users

India’s Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) officially launched the MEAIndia app for Android and iOS smartphones.


MEAIndia is described as a one-stop-shop to get all kinds of information like the latest news from all the 124 Indian missions in the world, consular access when abroad, bookings for the Kailash Manasarovar Yatra or the Haj Pilgrimage and much more.

Through this app users can access an array of information and services, that includes details of Indian missions overseas, information on passport and visas, particulars of Haj and Kailash Mansarovar yatra, India’s foreign policy schemes, official visits etc. Users can also track position of their passport applications.

The app also offers passport related services. One can only track the status of his passport application but in future the app will be able to accept applications for passport renewals or new passports.
